INTRODUCTION

 

The Mid-Illinois Medical District operates under the authority of the Mid-Illinois Medical District Act (Act) (70 ILCS 925 et seq.).  The purpose of the District is to attract and retain academic centers of excellence, viable health care facilities, medical research facilities, emerging high technology enterprises, and other facilities and uses as permitted by the Act. 

 

During the examination period, the District received no State appropriations or grants, maintained no funds or assets, and incurred no expenditures.  Mr. Michael Boer served as the District president during the examination period.

 

There were no material findings of noncompliance disclosed during our tests. 

 

AUDITORS’ OPINION

 

            We conducted a compliance examination of the Commission as required by the Illinois State Auditing Act.  We have not audited any financial statements of the Commission for the purpose of expressing an opinion because the Commission does not, nor is it required to, prepare financial statements.
