INTRODUCTION

 

The Pollution Control Board is part of the executive branch of the State.   The Board’s mission is to protect the public health and State environment while permitting the operation of businesses and communities for economic growth.  

 

This digest covers the compliance examination of the Pollution Control Board for the two years ended June 30, 2010. 

 

There were no material findings of noncompliance disclosed during our examination.

 

AUDITORS’ OPINION

 

We conducted a compliance examination of the Board as required by the Illinois State Auditing Act.   The Board has no funds that require an audit leading to an opinion on financial statements.
