INTRODUCTION

The Pollution Control Board (Board) was
created by the authority of the
Environmental Protection Act (415 ILCS 5/5
et seq.) to provide a unified State-wide
program to restore, protect and enhance the
quality of the environment and to assure
that adverse effects upon the environment
are fully considered and borne by those who
cause them.

There were no material findings of
noncompliance disclosed during our
examination.

ACCOUNTANT'S OPINION

We conducted a compliance examination of the
Board for the two years ended June 30, 2014,
as required by the Illinois State Auditing
Act.  The auditors stated the Board
complied, in all material respects, with the
requirements described in the report.
